It's the only robotic vacuum/mop that has an exemplary 10/10 in our evaluations thanks to a blend of high-tech sensors, which include cameras, a structured lighting system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could fill and empty its basestation autonomously. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop mops.

The X40 as with other iRobot products, is easy to use. It has an intuitive mobile app interface that is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only drawback is that the X40 still a noisy unit. This can be a concern in the mornings before work, or at night when you're trying to sleep.

The smart robot employs a combination of LIDAR and structured light to create the floor plan and detect obstacles, navigating more intelligently than its more expensive competitors. It also has a front mounted camera for real-time hazards detection however this was not 100% reliable in our tests and was often confused with obstructions or power cords.

The vacuum cleaner has the capacity to suction up to 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to accomplish the task.
