In our tests the i7+ performed quicker and more maneuverable than our second-placed model which was the eufy RoboVac G30, and it removed large chunks of pet hair from all surface types including carpeting. The main advantage it has over the Eufy is the self-emptying bin that eliminates the main sources of maintenance and reduces recurring cost.

We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services, which we used to instruct the robot to start, stop or pause its cleaning sessions and to move around the room and sweep a specific space. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. After connecting to these services, we were able give the i7+ voice commands such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options for managing the i7+'s settings and monitoring its performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

This tiny Dyson model is an all-sports car in a world of cordless vacuums that feel like minivans and buses. It has the power and features to replace a stand-up vacuum for the majority of households, but it also fits in well next to the table for a coffee or the bookshelf, that you can spin around like the magic tool.

The V10 is powered by a 7-cell, energy-dense lithium-ion battery which produces energy that is not faded for 60 minutes. It is prone to getting stuck on phone cords or furniture and is often unable to supply power before returning to its original location.
