Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of removing dry debris (dust dirt) and wet messes (spills or staining) in one time without the need to switch out devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will have impressive navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models with docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can cleans up a mess and is a great vacuum cleaner too. The mops spin at high speeds and apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of dirt, pet hair, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, a variety of attachments and brushes and an intuitive app which lets you select the type of cleaning you want for each room.

You could, for instance request the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly, but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and its smart navigation technology are excellent too, with the robot being able to detect tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. Its only issue is that the robot is known to smash into objects and walls at full speed. However an inspection of the cleaning history on the app will tell you exactly what the robot hoover has done, where it is traveling, and what obstacles it has encountered or avoided.

The docking station comes with an LCD display that shows the time when maintenance is required like emptying the debris and rinsing the dirty water tank. It is also able to mix detergent into the tank in a controlled manner, using a 600ml eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop come with plenty of running time as well, with the mop being able to operate for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode and the vacuum capable of running for 136 minutes in normal mode, before having to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is easy to use and intuitive and lets you look at every aspect of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's top robot vacuum cleaner reviews mop and vacuum. In contrast to the model of last year this one has a double agitator in its mopping pad which significantly improves its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to remove fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaner and mop cleaners might be unable to pick up.

This Roborock model, like the other two I tested it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it avoid obstacles such as furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things an extra step by adding a dual camera which can recognize objects and determine whether they're an object that is a wall or a different surface. It then can alter its course in a way that is automatic vacuum cleaner and mop and clean around the objects, without missing a step.

It's the most expensive model I've tested however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular style is attractive and it has just three physical buttons which include the power button that also resumes cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to return the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml water tank. The water tank self-empties and the bin auto-filling.

The only negative I discovered with this model was that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. You can replace the mopping cloth when required, but it's not easy to take the mount off to wash it manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, which could cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number smart features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can manage and set up these using the Roborock app, which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, monitor the life of batteries and maintenance on components. However, you'll have to go through a few hurdles to allow voice control with this model which is unfortunate considering the performance of this model.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is an industry leader with innovative features, superior suction power and advanced mowing abilities. Its innovative design lets users to tailor and effectively clean while saving time.

The X40 is the first robotic hoovers vacuum cleaner to deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the top alternatives available. This powerful vacuum removes dry debris, including pet hair and food particles. It comes with a mop of top quality that cleans hard floors without the need for pads. The X40 is also extremely quiet in operation with only occasional bursts during modes changes or self-maintenance.

It can also be programmed to avoid areas with carpet and mop only hard floors, and reverse the process. It can be controlled using the Dreame app or via Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.

The app is easy to use and intuitive The X40 is equipped with many clever features that are easy to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, view floor plans and maps and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and notify you when it's done.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous convenient features, making it a perfect choice for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, and refills them with clean water and cleaning solution. It can also detect when the mop pad is overflowing and alert you before it overflows, thus reducing the need for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It has many features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature in its mop, utilizes two high-speed mop heads to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can vacuum up pet hair and smaller dirt particles as well as picking up spills and wet spots.

The mop is cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. This is a fantastic feature because it prevents the build-up of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen in other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great method to keep your home cleaner longer.

There are plenty of options, including the option to schedule cleanings and change preferences. The app lets you set these preferences or you can utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and has many options to customize your cleaning routine.
