The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you should choose if you want an automatic hoover vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other options and makes it easier to maneuver into tight corners or under furniture. It features a 220 degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can run longer in turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery halfway through a clean.

It's extremely quick and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and the hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in a single pass. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to clean dirt as well as pet hair and droppings effortlessly. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the dual side brushes help pull out debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency is less impressive, but not by much. The mop rotates quickly and makes use of 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms stick out a bit more than other robots, which can be helpful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to pick up larger objects like broken toys and books.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever tried. It is quieter and doesn't make more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping and is sold separately from the vacuum. It is simple to install, and it works well. However when you purchase this robot vacuum solely for mopping purposes you must pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a wide range of features.

The device has an impressive and powerful cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the house and locate furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean methodically and effectively. This leads to an effective, consistent cleaning which is also relatively fast.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other difficult to reach places. The side brush can be stretched to extend to the floor, close to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are also washable and can be dried to remove odors and prevent buildup.

App-based customization is yet another noteworthy feature. The Q Revo lets you alter the suction intensity and choose an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can even choose to turn off the side brush to prevent damaging carpets and rugs.

The device has a high price tag but comes with a large selection of smart features. It is important to note, however, that the device will incur regular expenses, such as mopping equipment and regular maintenance. For example, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad must be replaced every three to six months.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 best robot cleaner vacuum and mop which means it is able to handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two parts, a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping unit that has microfiber pads. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping but it does mean that you don't need to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.

Our testers discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job at both vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' or virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by a mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of picking up pet hair. It was able to collect many of the hair shed by our cats, and even got into the nooks and crannies on our stairs where other robots had struggled. It was fairly quiet and had some lovely jingles to signalled when it was about to start or finished its work.

Its main drawbacks were its lack of sophistication and the need to switch out the modules when switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app cannot store multiple maps. This can be an issue if your home has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who want a smart device that can mop and vacuum.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. It does however, have distinct features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni's main draw is its huge dock, which doubles as a charging base as well as housing for two water tanks, a cleaning sink and a 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically eliminates.

The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. These let you manually start a cleaning task and then recall the robot or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path. It will stay clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise in recognising objects.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni can occasionally get caught up in an obstruction, such as the power cord that is draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and stops working until you free it. This was a rare occurrence, but frustrating nonetheless, because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert in its app.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during cleaning. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't a big deal apart from the fact that mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between uses and can cause mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a big change from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing sight in a space that is dominated by clunky boxes and clunky models.
