The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. The most significant innovation, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection technology. This uses AI to identify objects like charging cords and shoes. It's the first robot to provide you with pictures of the objects that it encounters, meaning you can instruct the robot to stay clear of it.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we've ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills quickly and leaves no trace of it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. It can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't sweep in areas you don’t wish to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it using voice.

The design is also superior to the other models. It features an elegant, top piece that appears like a toy rather than the loud and annoying robot. Clean Base's automatic vacuum cleaner Dirt Disposal System also self-empties, which can cut down on cleaning time.

In our tests the j7+ performed quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in place, rather than scattering it around the floor. It even could catch small gravel and sand, which most other robots aren't able to do. It did this without getting caught in our pet's hair.

The j7+, though not as intelligent as the $1,217 Roomba S9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and it cannot clean the stairs, is an option for those who want both mopping and a vacuum. It's not expensive and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly to use.

While the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and at times it's difficult to tell whether the update is working until you've seen it in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than just clean your floors then a hybrid is the best smart vacuum choice. These bots are equipped with a water tank, so they can mop and vacuum at the same time. These bots also come with many additional features like smart mapping and small object avoidance and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. They are expensive at retail, but they often lower prices on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock makes some of our favorite robot vacuums, and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is the cheapest model of their auto-empty line. Although it might not have some of the more premium features (like no-go zones or multi-story memories) but it's an excellent choice if you are willing to compromise to save a few dollars.

The Q5+ is exceptionally soft when it comes to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it an excellent choice for homes that have a lot of furniture. It is also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is an area that most robot vacuums of lower quality do not excel in. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is excellent too, with very little missing in corners and along walls.

The Q5+, as with other Roborock products can be controlled with only a few buttons on your device, or via the Roborock App. The app allows you to start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, design virtual barrier and no-go areas, modify your home map or re-label the rooms.

If you decide to go with the Q5+ model, it comes with a brand new auto-empty dock, which was specifically designed to make the robot easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once in place it can be done without difficulty. It also comes with a large LCD display that is great to have when you're setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This isn't a necessary feature for the majority of people but it can help you keep the track of the maintenance intervals for your robot with ease.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively intelligent in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design and function are some of the most advanced available however it's expensive.

Its base station looks good and is hidden when it's not in use, and the size is quite compact. But the station's main selling factor is its ability to automate numerous tasks and functions that most other robots leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water and also electrolyze and warm the water. Most other robovacs will require you to do this.

Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive as well. It's one of the few robovacs I've tested that do a really good job of picking up debris on plain floors, and is not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly when it comes to navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robovacs, meaning it can get stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the home. It's not able to climb stairs as well as some competitors, for instance, and it doesn't have a dock that allows you to create an exclusive cleaning zone for plush carpets.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who want a vacuum robot that can do everything.

If you're looking for a way to save money or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are many alternatives available. Many eufy models cost significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for instance is a bit more expensive, but offers more features, including the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, that provides an improved overall experience when vacuuming on floors that are unfinished carpets, low-pile carpets as well as high-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

eufy, an Anker company is a long-standing leader of making robot vacuums that strike the right balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on carpets and hard floors, as well as mopping capabilities at a reasonable price. It's easy to set up, just connect one of the side brushes, turn it on and connect your charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock should be placed near an outlet with plenty of room to move.

The G30 is a compact device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, meaning it can fit under most couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design isn't as ostentatious compared to some rival models. It features a sleek black finish with three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern for two minutes), Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.

The way in which the G30 cleans is what separates it from its rivals. It uses a built-in map to create an image of non-movable objects that are in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and what it isn't able to access. It will return to the base to recharge and continues cleaning where it left off.

The eufy G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba 675 is better constructed, has lower recurring expenses, charges more quickly and has the same battery life, while providing better performance on floors with no carpet and low-pile carpet. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't need to be emptied as often and comes with an array of boundaries to restrict it from certain areas. The G30, however is more affordable and much more manageable to maintain. Its smaller dust canister doesn't need emptying as often and it has less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
