iRobot suggests that you clear areas that the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, and include putting away any toys or clutter it may come across. It's also an excellent idea to keep the bin and filter clean so they do not become blocked by dirt. If the i3+'s internal bin is empty or the battery is not fully charged, it returns to the docking station, and it automatically takes the dirt out of the docking station's dust bin. It then continues cleaning from where it started. The i3+ EVO's battery can last for approximately an hour and a half continuous use. It takes about three hours to recharge.

2. iRobot Roomba i7+

The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the most powerful model in the iRobot flagship line and has the most up-to-date features. It has self-charging and self-navigating. But the most important feature is its auto-emptying bin. This removes the need for routine maintenance.

The Roomba i7+ can keep up to 10 floor plans and their names with Imprint Smart Mapping, an application that lets it identify rooms to clean them more efficiently. It also integrates with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning tasks and direct your robot cleaner by voice or through the app.

In our tests, the i7+ was quicker and more maneuverable than our runner-up which was the eufy RoboVac G30, and it removed large chunks of pet hair from all surface types, including carpeting. Its main advantage over the eufy, though, is its self-emptying dustbin which removes a major source of maintenance and cuts down on the cost of maintenance.

We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We utilized these services to instruct the robot on how to begin, stop, or pause cleaning sessions, as well as to move around the room and even vacuum a specific area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was easy and easy with the iRobot Home app. We were able, once connected, to give voice commands to the i7+ like "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." It's capable of sucking up all types of debris and sizes during our tests, and often goes over the same areas many times to give a thorough clean. Its flat front side helps it reach into corners and along the edges of walls, which is a nice addition.

Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt to stay clear of obstacles and navigate your home, but it isn't equipped with the mapping capability of more sophisticated models such as our top selections and the i3+ EVO and j7+ series. This means that it is sometimes stuck on things like phone cords and furniture that isn't in good condition, and often will run out of battery before returning to its original location.

The Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum is superior to the Roomba 694 in all aspects, as it has fewer components that require regular cleaning It also comes with an allergen-trapping HEPA filter, has lower costs for recurring maintenance, has more advanced automation capabilities and is better at moving itself. The app offers a variety of options to customize your robotic cleaner, including virtual barriers mopping water levels, behavior customization, docking frequency settings, and much more. The app is easy to use and understand, just like other Samsung devices.

In our tests of the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors and dealt with dog hair (on carpet) quite well, cleaning up 86 percent of it. However, it did not do particularly well in avoiding larger objects, like cords and socks, which was disappointing. It's also a bit more expensive than some of the other models we've tested and could be a problem for certain shoppers.
